Paths to professional, entrepreneurial, creative and critical engagement in urban spaces.

We initiate a dialogue with people and organizations in the city framed as a short series of visits and participation formats. We see the city as a space of opportunities in which different perspectives are welcome and new creative forms of organizational development can emerge.

Each visit has a specific focus of creative engagement with the city.

KOLLEKTIV STICKEN

Embroidery is a wonderful activity for bringing a wide variety of people together at one table. And we can do it collectively and in public spaces.

Collective embroidery has a unifying character. In exchange and in action, embroidery facilitates communication that overcomes barriers and creates joy. By using artistic methods and social interaction, we actively strengthen and support the growth of a good social climate. With this in mind, we move through the neighborhoods and districts in cities and rural areas and cooperate with local initiatives, associations, art and cultural institutions always with the aim of achieving the greatest possible sustainable impact.

KOLLEKTIV STICKEN are Thekla Rickert, Ruschka Steininger, Kwas Kwasniki and friends. They are art, culture and social actors who have been working together for 3 years creating temporary places of encounter and exchange through embroidery projects in public spaces. This start-up studio is a collaborative format with Hochschule für Schauspiel Ernst Busch.
